Places to visit without a car: a great idea from the Spain Scoop blog

23 Mar

This was such a brilliant idea from Spain Scoop I just had to share it. Its part of their ‘No Car Needed’ series, covering places to visit from Barcelona by public transport. Brilliant idea for pedestrians like me. I hate having to listen to all the cool stuff people with cars get up to on the weekend.

La Garriga, is a medieval spa town only 40 minutes away by train. The two main hotel spas offer great promotions on rooms (15% on bookings made before the end of March).

Read the complete report byRegina Winkle-Bryan and see pictures here: No Car Needed: Spring Waters of La Garriga, Catalonia.

You can find more information on the La Garriga local council website  and make reservations at the Gran Hotel Balneario Blancafort (once you get past the twinkly-tinkly watery music…….. gotta go, need to pee).

Thanks for the La Garriga LOVE! I really do recommend it. We feature No Car Needed posts all the time on the Scoop, I think the next one is on Figueres!

Hey! Have you ever been to Colonia Guell? I’ve been meaning to go, apparently it’s another decent day trip and no car needed 🙂
