The English patient lost in translation 1

30 Oct

Nurse to guy in scrubs: Aqui es el paciente Ingles. (Here is the English patient)
Me: Er no kinda Indian with a wee drop of Scottish really…… oh never mind.
Guy in scrubs to T: Hola! Soy el anestesista, hermano. (Hi! I’m the anesthetist, brother)

The guy in scrubs then checks my teeth and throat and gets me to make funny faces at him. He then explains what we can expect and leaves.

Me: I take it he’s my anesthetist?
T: Acts like it, but he introduced himself as the anesthetist’s brother!
